Omnify originally developed a universal bill of materials system in 1998 and was incorporated as Omnify Software in 2002. Omnify Empower PLM helps original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) manage their product data from concept to obsolescence in a unified environment. Empower PLM provides a single, secure location to manage the complete product record, including component data, bill of material (BOM), engineering change, document, project, quality/CAPA, and training records information.
Omnify Empower is built on the Microsoft .NET Framework, and provides an open
integration platform for direct interfaces to existing engineering (computer
aided-design/computer-aided engineering) and business (enterprise resource
planning/manufacturing resource planning/customer relationship management)
environments.
