Mincom provides enterprise asset management and business software and solutions to asset-intensive industries. Since 1979, it has served customers within the mining, oil and gas, utilities, transportation, defense and government industries in more than forty countries. Mincom's service offerings include business process consulting, implementation services, training, analytics and business intelligence, business to business integration, IT outsourcing, technology consulting, business process outsourcing, and application management services.

Its products include Mincom Ellipse, Mincom Axis, Mincom Business Intelligence Solution, Mincom EnergyPoint, Mincom LinkOne, Mincom Managed Services, Mincom MineMarket, and Mincom MineScape.

Mincom Ellipse is integrated with Comlabs and XEMPLEX modules to provide complete materials, financials, and human resources management functions. The maintenance management system provides asset life cycle care, work management, and operation and performance measurement.

Using our EAM Evaluation Center, we compared Mincom Ellipse, CHAMPS, and IFS head-on. For the overall rankings, we looked at the vendors in two basic configurations: with back-office (HR and financials) functionality, for a total of eight main modules, and without, for a total of six main modules. To eliminate any chance of bias, and to ensure a level playing field, all 3,146 criteria comprising the modules and submodules in the EAM request for information (RFI) were given equal weight and priority.
