Founded in 1983 as the Microsiga Software Company, TOTVS develops enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for the South American and Latin American markets, where the company has a 50.1 percent share of the small business ERP market and a 22 percent share of the midsized business ERP market.
TOTVS provides these markets with management and systems, as well as process, performance, and infrastructure solutions by means of its six business segments:

TOTVS was the first IT company in Latin America to go public, and today it has 5,000 employees and over 200 distribution channels. The company has a portfolio of more than 17,000 active customers in 22 countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, United States, Canada, Portugal, Angola, and Mozambique.
TOTVS is headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, with offices in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Portugal.
Microsiga Protheus is platform-independent enterprise resource planning (ERP)
and customer relationship management (CRM) software based on the TOTVS TEC
architecture. Developed to address the demand for
results-driven process management, Microsiga Protheus is flexible and
easy to use, and can be customized either independently, or with assistance from
TOTVS. Based in Brazil, TOTVS also has offices and clients in
other countries, including Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Portugal.
The Microsiga Protheus ERP solution is based entirely on Microsoft
technology.
